Hi Ian,
thanks -this is the second yoke with your principle with the sgs struts , I have used heavy duty springs you know the ones from a circular trampoline the feeling is fantastic .
The upper part of the yoke on this second one was made with a crankshaft bearing set into the elbow section with araldite so it's flush with the edge of the elbow ,I basically cut a piece of card slightly less the diameter and pushed the circular card in the elbow about half an inch then poured araldite around the outer diameter between the outer bearing and pipe ,once that has set I used the ch yoke with shaft attached and pushed the shaft into the bearing its a bit of an interference fit but once in there is no glueing or fastening ,then it's just a case of fixing a pot so that it doesn't move inside the elbow and then fix the shaft of the pot into the shaft of the ch yoke,then attach 2 springs inside at hey presto a functional yoke for pitch and roll .
