Using A Switch For The Gear?

I have figured out how to wire switches into the buttons on my joystick. My problem is for say the GEAR RETRACT AND EXTEND is A G keyboard shortcut. Do I use a off+on switch or an on+off+on switch? I would like to make it the most realistic. I want the have the switch up for retracted and down extended.

    Is there is a tutorial?

    Thank
    Todd

If you have FSUIPC you can assign the switch to extend the gear when "ON" and retract gear when switch is "off" or vice versa.
You wont have to use the G key which simply toggles the gear.
