O/C Mastercard - P2 auxiliary connector

anybody ever get the P2 connector on the master card to work?

I'm trying to use it to run some extra LEDs but the Mastercard doesn't seem be activating the outputs. I'm get 5v and ground on Pins 1 and 2, but when I activate all outputs using SIOC I don't get any voltage off pins 3-9.

Everything else on the card works fine. I'm just not sure why it's not turning on these 7 pins on the P2 connector.

Sorry, works fine on my mastercards. Are you using the SIOC monitor function to turn them on - not controlador?.

Yeah, using the SIOC Monitor. When I turn all outputs on, or just 49-55 individually I get no voltage off pins 3-9.

Pin 1 is pushing 5v and pin 2 is acting as a ground. So when I test 2+3, 2+4, 2+5, etc.. I get no voltage reading as if the output is not on.

Sorry, but I cannot think of anything else that might help, assuming that all other inputs/outputs are working correctly and that you are getting 5 volts on pins 1&2 and that there is an external power supply connected

Do Output 48 work?
That is the same IC (U3 - 74HC259) as Output 49-55.

I expect you have the numbering of the DB9 correctly

I actually have the last 8 outputs on the output card to connect tonight so I'll check that #48 soon as I get home to see if works too.

I'm pretty sure I have the pin numbering right. Pin 1 is top row left pin right and Pin 9 is bottom row right pin right as showin the Master Card manual.

When I measure voltage on the top two left pins I get 5v, so I assume I got it all right

Tested output 48 and I get nothing from it. 11-47 work but 48 is dead along with 3-9 on P2.

Do you have the schematics and are you ready to do some conductivity testing.
First of all do a visual inspection and maybe re-soldering U3.
A few more options – either U3 need to be replaced or there are some broken traces
in the area. Use your Multimeter and test on IC legs - first of all +5V and GND
pin 16 and 8. Test against same pins on e.g. U4. Same goes for pin 1, 2, 3, 13 and 15.
Pin 14 connects to pin 7 on U1.

BTW - did you buy the IOcard ready built from OC?

I don't know what I did but after taking the MC out to check continuity, now all the outputs on P2 won't turn off. Soon as I plug in either 5v or the USB cable to the expansion card, the LEDs light up. No response to SIOC Monitor.

Visually everything looks ok on the board. So bizarre.

And yes, I bought the board pre-built from O/C.

So here's where we're at. This morning the board suddenly started pushing 5v to all P2 connectors this morning (but not output #48) soon as USB or 5v power is connected. I got 5v when testing ping 8 and 16 on u3, and 5v accross 16 and 1,2,3, 13 and 15.

However! Just now I put the board back and we're back to no power at all as we started. I do find when I test Pins 1 and 2 inside P2 I get 5v but when I test pins 8 and 16 on U3 I do NOT get 5v anymore. pin 6 and 18 on U4 do though.
