    MCP and Fuel Files seem to have changed?

    Hi Nico,

    Please forgive this post; it has been a very long time since I have used the Sim due to real life commitments!

    I came to use Lekseecon and SIOC today with the LDS 767 and noticed something strange. For some reason, the file I was running in SIOC was the wrong one. So I went to recompile my cockpit scripts as usual with this:

    Code:
    2Cockpit_full.txt
    Test_Overhead.txt
    HF_Radio.txt
    Jack_3.3_MCP.txt
    C:\lekseecon\cockpit767\6.1_ColdAndDark.txt
    C:\lekseecon\mcp767\3.3_MCP_IAS.txt
    C:\lekseecon\mcp767\3.3_MCP_HDG.txt
    C:\lekseecon\mcp767\3.3_MCP_VS.txt
    C:\lekseecon\mcp767\3.3_MCP_ALT.txt
    C:\lekseecon\mcp767\3.3_MCP_leds.txt
    C:\lekseecon\ocm\mcp\3.3_MCP737_generic.txt
    C:\lekseecon\ocm\mcp\6.2_TestLightsMIP_MCP737.txt
    C:\lekseecon\ocm\mcp\3.3_MCP737_VOR1Crs.txt
    C:\lekseecon\ocm\mcp\3.3_MCP737_VOR2Crs.txt
    C:\lekseecon\ocm\atc\5.11_xpdr_ATC737.txt
    5.9_COMM737.txt
    Lekseecon_Col2.txt
    Column_1_Outputs.txt
    B767_Chrono.txt
    The compiler failed saying "file not found".

    So, I went through each file, and, indeed, these files were now missing:

    Code:
    C:\lekseecon\mcp767\3.3_MCP_IAS.txtC:\lekseecon\mcp767\3.3_MCP_HDG.txt
    C:\lekseecon\mcp767\3.3_MCP_VS.txt
    C:\lekseecon\mcp767\3.3_MCP_ALT.txt
    C:\lekseecon\mcp767\3.3_MCP_leds.txt
    They seem to have been renamed as other file names?

    Also, the "FuelDisplay.txt" file has been renamed to "Fuel.txt", but I changed this already in the group compiler file.

    I am worried incase any of my files have been overwritten or lost. Were these changes part of a Lekseecon update?

    I am using Lekseecon 9.4.

    Cheers Nico and sorry for the post!

    Jack

    Re: MCP and Fuel Files seem to have changed?

    Hello Jack!,
    Where have you been! You must have been away a long time, you're completely out of sync...

    It looks like you have lost your old files...?

    Anyway, the MCP files have improved, a lot of the digits have built in support.
    Also lekseecon (9.0+) now provides variables for information provided by FSUIPC offsets, that's why the Fuel file could be made a lot more simple and it is integrated in the file with the Fuel controls (at the overhead). I think you have to take from it what you need.

    If you are using an Opencockpits MCP (can't remember, but the files in your post give me the impression), you can recompile with these lines (see the config_sioc.ini in the lekseecon\ocm\mcp folder)

    Code:
    C:\lekseecon\cockpit767\1_Digit.txt
    C:\lekseecon\mcp767\3.3_MCP_Generic.txt
    C:\lekseecon\ocm\mcp\3.3_MCP737_EmulatedButtons.txt
    C:\lekseecon\ocm\mcp\3.3_MCP737_OutIAS.txt
    C:\lekseecon\ocm\mcp\6.2_MCP737_TestMIP.txt
    C:\lekseecon\ocm\mcp\3.3_MCP737_VOR1Crs.txt
    C:\lekseecon\ocm\mcp\3.3_MCP737_VOR2Crs.txt
    C:\lekseecon\cockpit767\6.1_ColdAndDark.txt

    Cheers,
    Nico

    Re: MCP and Fuel Files seem to have changed?

    Hi Nico,

    I shall try that.

    Regarding the fuel display, I looked in the compiler and the file name was "FuelDisplay.txt", so clearly at one point or another there must have been a Lekseecon text file called "FuelDisplay.txt". Did you change the name to "Fuel.txt" at any point?

    Re: MCP and Fuel Files seem to have changed?

    Ahh right no problems then regarding the Fuel file.

    Unfortunately I am getting alot of compiler conflicts with the new MCP files. They seem to be conflicting with "JackMCP" text file which we wrote a few years back (I think!!!).

    "JackMCP".txt:

    Code:
    /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
    // SIOC scripts for a Modified (two push buttons added) Opencockpits MCP737NG to be used
    //        with the Level-D 767 (FS9 or FSX), SIOC 3.7+ and LEKSEECON v7.0+
    //
    //                FULL Level-D 767-300 MCP implementation
    // with Cold and Dark cockpit support and Lights test
    //
    //                          Version 5.1

    Re: MCP and Fuel Files seem to have changed?

    Yeah it is obsolete.
    Assuming that you also have modified your MCP (with two extra buttons ) just like me, you should take the files related to the MCP from cockpit_sioc.ini in folder mcp767.
    And adjust these extra two input numbers to your hardware.

    Cheers,
    Nico

    Re: MCP and Fuel Files seem to have changed?

    Hi Nico,

    I have now removed JackMCP.txt from the group compile, but I am now getting a new conflict.

    "TestMIP" variable seems to have been defined twice, but I have trawled through all the files and cannot find the conflict. Any ideas as to what is causing this?

    Re: MCP and Fuel Files seem to have changed?

    Hi Jack,

    TestMIP is defined in 6.2_TestLights and in 6.2_MCP737_TestMIP.
    You need only one of them.

    If you want to use a double click button at your MCP as testMIP you take 6.2_MCP737_TestMIP. If you have another button for that outside the MCP you take the other file.

    Cheers,
    Nico

    Re: MCP and Fuel Files seem to have changed?

    Hi Nico,

    I don't think that is the problem since the 6.2_TestLights file is not being group compiled. It must be another file somewhere else that is causing the issue.

    This is the compiler:

    Code:
    2Cockpit_full.txt
    Test_Overhead.txt
    HF_Radio.txt
    C:\lekseecon\cockpit767\6.1_ColdAndDark.txt
    C:\lekseecon\cockpit767\1_Digit.txt
    C:\lekseecon\mcp767\3.3_MCP_Generic.txt
    C:\lekseecon\ocm\mcp\3.3_MCP737_EmulatedButtons.txt
    C:\lekseecon\ocm\mcp\3.3_MCP737_OutIAS.txt
    C:\lekseecon\ocm\mcp\6.2_MCP737_TestMIP.txt
    C:\lekseecon\ocm\mcp\3.3_MCP737_VOR1Crs.txt
    C:\lekseecon\ocm\mcp\3.3_MCP737_VOR2Crs.txt
    C:\lekseecon\ocm\mcp\6.2_MCP737_TestMIP.txt
    C:\lekseecon\ocm\atc\5.11_xpdr_ATC737.txt
    5.9_COMM737.txt
    Lekseecon_Col2.txt
    Column_1_Outputs.txt
    B767_Chrono.txt
    C:\lekseecon\cockpit767\2.15_Fuel.txt
    C:\lekseecon\cockpit767\Column3.txt

    6.2_MCP737_TestMIP.txt is twice in your list.....
