    Norwegian Air Shuttle 737-800 LN-NOL

I figured it was time to move on from my old thread as it had so many dead picture links in it and start a new one. The progress hasn't been noticeable as of late but I did manage to finish the landing-gear mechanism tonight.
I wasn't happy with the quality and realism of the unit I purchased so I tore it completely apart and built one myself from scratch, using only the knob and side plates from the old unit. I'm pretty happy with the end result, including the detail work. Movement is smooth and the upgraded spring setup provides a very nice feel.
The photo section on my website has updated pictures in the "instruments" folder, showing the construction of the mechanism to much greater detail.

    Hi to Norway,

this is a very nice setup you have there.

    Some questions:
Did you use a CNC machine to cut out the wooden structure for the Visual Screen ?
What was the basis on which you cut your parts for the cockpit fuselage ?

    Thanks
    Andy

    Hey there!

The frame for the visuals was indeed cut using a computer operated Shopbot so it all fit together as a puzzle.
As far as the actual shell itself there really isn't anything out there that gives you detailed information as to measurements.
I used a combination of pictures and various websites with bits and pieces as reference. You can find a lot of helpful information at MarkusPilotdotCom

    Cheers!

    Hey all!

It's been a while since my last post and I haven't updated my website lately either. Figured I'd wait until the sidewalls are done.
Here is at least a sneak peek of the upper sidewalls. They are pretty much ready for some filler, sanding and detail work.

Figured I'd post a small update of the sidewall process so far. I still have a lot of work left but it's moving forward.
I have fabricated the mock window opener handles but haven't installed then yet.

It's hard to work on detail stuff when the word patience isn't in my vocabulary. Well, at least the captain's sidewall is getting close to done.
