Three views, window-maker tool : new solutions ?

    Hi,
I've been a window-maker tool addict for a long time.
Now I found out new advance here : ProSim737 Forum • View topic - Fsx P3d 3xmonitor project setup
It make it possible to avoid the fourth, hidden, zull-zoomed view, so saving some FPS.
It seems to me a great advance. what do you think ?
    Maurizio

Re: Three views, window-maker tool : new solutions ?

Can you tell me what the idea is ?

    I have a triplehead2go setup.

Can I benefit from this too or is it 3 undocked views and a fourth one hidden...?
If these are undocked views then that will make fps drop, so I am really not understanding this.

I searched on Google but nothing came up about this.

The trick is you don't need a fourth, full zoomed , hidden view like now with window-maker tool.
It runs a "transparent" (black) panel instead, so saving FPS from the fourth hidden view.
PM me and I can send you a .FLT file for example.

Will you please send me the .FLT sample as well. Have you contacted the author of the WindowMaker tool to see if it can be incorporated into the spreadsheet generator?
    Thanks in Advance,
    Daniel

Sorry, but I'm not at home these days, so I can't send you .FLT files.
But, if you look at the thread in the Prosim forum ProSim737 Forum • View topic - Fsx P3d 3xmonitor project setup
you can find an example of it.
Don't forget to download the "transparent panel bitmap" here : https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ncw03ze5kwhjffs/H9JPc99Aae?m
that's the tricky to get the whole thing work!
No, I haven't contacted the windowmaker tool author, but that can be a good idea.

Re: Three views, window-maker tool : new solutions ?

Hi, Windowmaker author here. I've been away from this forum for a while.

Yes, that is a perfectly valid method. When I created Windowmaker, I didn't know about this. While I probably could incorporate it into the spreadsheet, I've had very little time to devote to personal efforts lately.

At some point, I probably will incorporate this, but don't expect it anytime soon.

I use this method for a long time. I do not use a transparent panel. I'm normal, but empty, without gauges. And is minimized. That can not be seen. I have 3 windows only (200 degrees):
