    Prosim737 price increase

    Hi Guys ..

As a new cockpit builder, I have been playing a lot with the demo version of Prosim737 and found it so easy to use, connecting potentiometers, leds, switches and stuff is just too easy (I'm using Leo Bodnar and Pokeys cards so far). I decided that Prosim will be the way forward for me especially since it is much cheaper than any other avionics suite out there and very easy to use. Last night I was browsing the prosim forums to read up on a few things and found out that they will be doubling the price of the prosim suite on the 1st of Feb (ProSim737 Forum • View topic - Happy new year / important ProSim737 changes).

So, if there are any new builders out there thinking of using prosim, I suggest you get your orders in ...

    Re: Prosim737 price increase

    Hey Everyone,

I agree with mogoose! I posted this info elsewhere, but wanted to add it to MYC, so the word gets out...

If you do not own an Aircraft Suite already or you want to own more than one, right now is the time to purchase the ProSim737 Suite. The developers annouced on their website about a near 100% price increase, so that's from €400 to €800! Therefore, if you want to save money, you'd better get off the fence real soon...

Please understand that I am not advocating for ProSim, I am just re-posting known information to the niche builders here. Besides, any news that will save anyone a few bucks on one side will surely be used on another...like hardware.

Finally, there are other suites to purchase and you have to evaluate each one to your own needs. Thus, please research all of them and decide based on what type of sim you're building, because even though you can save money, sometimes you do get what you pay for or you paid for the wrong thing.

    Best Regards

The Prosim suite is only 300€. The airplane engine (Jetstream) that works best with Prosim is another 30€ but you can run Prosim OK without their Jetstream airplane.

They are raising the price to 800 when February 1 rolls along.

    Re: Prosim737 price increase

You're both right. Right now it is 300 Euro without VAT charge and 400 Euro with VAT. So, it'll go up to 600 Euro w/o VAT and 800 Euro w/VAT. Either way, if you're planning to buy it, the time is now for the lower prices...

    Re: Prosim737 price increase

Yikes. I was planning on using the PMDG 737NGX for my cockpit for a while and then maybe upgrade to the ProSim737 suite, but after hearing this... I don't know what to do.

On on hand I don't *really* need prosim just yet... It's just a small desktop cockpit. But on the other, I don't wanna miss the current pricing.

Maybe it's time to bite the $350usd bullet and just make the jump then to ProSim. Hmm....

    Re: Prosim737 price increase

At least the ProSim-guys will experience quite a positive cash flow the next weeks.
My only 'worry' is when version 1.99 will be released. Hopefully not on Feb 1st...
    Best wishes, Peter

I am holding out. I don't need it right now; And when I do need a glass cockpit suite, 800 euro is just too expensive for me.

I am sorry, but I rather spend that money on hardware. I will be looking at alternatives and there are 5 other glass software suites available.

    Re: Prosim737 price increase

Your choices will be limited cost wise later because Sim-A, PM are already at the higher level, ProSim will be there Feb 1st, so that leaves Ifly at around $400-$500 range and PMDG737NGX at $50-$75 range (although PMDG is not for cockpit builders).

Once Prosim does do its price increase and subscription system it will be a great boom for Ifly I imagine if they fill in the gaps.
