Gear lever Extrusion beyond the face plate
Hello fellow builders,
This is a question for someone who has a gear lever from one of the major companies. I'm currently building my own, but my lever seems to be sticking out way to far . Could someone be so kind as to measure theirs for me, from the end of the wheel to the faceplate on the MIP. I need to know how much of the lever is sticking out past the gear panel to the end of the wheel on the lever. Thanks. Appreciate.
All the best,
Ed

How much the other way? (From the panel and inside)
I am about to make my own gear lever, and would like to get the angle (somewhat) right.Best wishes, Peter

Re: Gear lever Extrusion beyond the face plate
Hi Peter
Not sure about the angle , as I dont have an MIP to take a measurement from. My lever is 10 cm behind the gear panel. Be sure to check out Claus Hansen's site for gear lever tutorial. Will give good ideas.
