Out of this world music! Have you set the rest of the jetmax up?

Yup. I got all the axis and switches setup on the TQ. Did my first flight with it the other night and it loved it.

Here's what things are looking like right now:



Two things to note on the TQ also:

1) the two Stab Trim switches are not wired up for operation. Not sure why they opted to not hook them up but they didn't.

2) The Parking Brake light is tied to the switch and powered off USB power. So it'll light up if you're plugged in and set the brakes even with FSX not running.

Good idea with the parking brake light, saves on an output. I might rewire mine thinking about it. I can see the rationale as not all SIms/ACs provide a brakelight indication. Did not know about the Stab Trim switches, but honestly don't know of an simmer who uses them.

FYI there are parking brake offsetsv via FSUIPC so you don't accidently reverse the operations (parking brake off turns it on). This worked much better for me then directly interfacing with FSX.

Have you guys thought about mofidying the throttle?

Adding usuble trim wheels
Auto throttle? (might be too fragile for that function)

Here's a look at the hardware in action after I got everything setup again after moving to a new house.

We start with launching FSX and setting up the 737NGX in a dark/cold state at KMSY on the runway. I do a quick startup procedure just to get up in the air. It's a little long but thought some might be interested to see it in action.



Overhead still needs annunciators, Flight/Land Altitude Displays and rotaries, and the Power Displays.

I've been trying to think of way to do the trim wheels\, maybe adding some micro switches or something but I haven't wanted to crack open the throttle case just yet

Isn't it about time you head for a DIY-store and buy some MDF?

What I mean is; that is a really nice cockpit and you have most of what is needed to switch from "Desktop model" to "Homebuild cockpit".

lol, yeah I know I'll probably stick with the desktop model for awhile as I use this setup for playing other games too. But this gives me just enough realism that I can pretty much do a whole flight without the VC or mouse once I get setup.
