    Re: A320 FMGS beta 27

If it is a simconnect issue then how can I remedy this? The client pc doesnt have any issues with connecting to the server via widefs. The client pc simply wont connect to A320FMGS!!! There must be similar instances where people have experienced this problem?? J

Not sure whether it is JL's software. But what helped (or seemed to help): Check the content of simconnect.xml on your FSX machine. It seems that the ports in the GLOBAL and LOCAL sections change, originally it is port 500 (for GLOBAL and LOCAL) and this somehow changes to port 9107 (or something similar).

    Best regards, A

    Re: A320 FMGS beta 30

I see in simconnect XML that the port is indeed - 9107!! But, what do I need to do to simconnect to make it compatible?! Change the port from 9107 to 8001 or other? I can't understand how this is do difficult!!! FSUIPC and widefs is pretty straightforward!!!

    Cheers again

    Re: A320 FMGS beta 30

    Hi

@Jay: On the client computer you need to run WideFMGS client (called wideFMGS.exe).
The software does not use FSUIPC anymore, and wideclient is useless for my software.
When you installed the software on the remote computers, did you uncheck the server option during installation? this is critical, otherwise the wideFMGS client is not installed.
You do not have an issue with simconnect, it is a completely different issue than Arie.

@Arie: yes I forgot to remove some code in the installer, and it does indeed change the simconnect.xml file.
I will remove that for next version, sorry about that.

    Re: A320 FMGS beta 30

Thank you very much for the swift response, I had indeed forgot to uncheck the server module whilst installing on the client. The only issue I have now is the client server continuously says that Port-8003 etc is disconnected!!! So, I still have no connectivity as yet!!! But it seems like we are getting closer!!! Any more advice you could send me would be brilliant. I really want to use this software and so long as we iron out the small annoyances the rest of the package looks brilliant. Jay

    Re: A320 FMGS beta 30

Now Im up and running. Is there any way of editing either the sound module cfg or the Project airbus plane to accommodate alternative sounds? I.e - I was hoping to incorporate soundpacks from other planes or addons. At the moment, when you press the APU external power button there is no sound so I wanted to somehow connect the button with a sound. Same applies to engine start etc etc. Is this possible? Kind regards

    Re: A320 FMGS beta 30

    Hi,

I do not really know how the sounds work. If you look around this thread or previous thread, there is a sound pack laying around made by one user of my software.
You can use any sound pack you want, but some sounds will not be possible to correlate to actual cockpit actions...

    Regards
    JL
