Wow, you purchased three of these for $1500 and they are suitable for a single seat application only or up to what maximum weight?
How do you intigrate into the flightssim or is that still ongoing??

The original set-up is one seater. I posted pics but they aren't showing. Not sure on the MAX weight but i'm guessing up to about 1000lbs
I used Pololu motor controllers and BFF motion software to drive the motion.

Fixed the pictures and they now show up, see first page of thread. All the gauges work. 42" led tv strapped to the front.

Re: Project Mustang on a 3dof base begins

I'm itching to do a two seat cessna 172 ( like my own on floats) for IFR practice and 3dof would be a great addition to this.

I know I can keep the weight with two average people well below the 1000lb mark, I'm guessing 750 max. This link to a 172 is
the direction I see myself heading, for now I will work on the panel OH, and a location in the house to build the same.

Well I got the MIP mock-up in for placement testing. Built the the raised floor to support the saitek Cessna pedals. Worked out real well and feels perfect when sitting in the seats. They are power seats out of a mini van. I ordered my Ultracoat covering and next pics should show that installed. Off to add the stringers and prep for covering.

The plan right now is 3 led tv's, 46" to 50" mounted on a frame over the nose.

Re: Project Mustang on a 3dof base begins

Very, very nice! Having completed a 172 simulator I'm now thinking about something a bit more sophoisticated and the Mustang is high on the list. The Emuteq G1000 looks like a good piece of kit but I didn't know it was available for twin engined aircraft. This would make a big difference to which simulator I decide to build.
I shall follow your build with much interest - great stuff!

Here are couple of shots of my MIP mock-up. Love the Emuteq G1000's This is just a temp set-up to test the operation and get layout ideas.
