Var 185 G/S Inhib macro and Var 349 Test GPWS

    Hi Nico,

I am trying to get my G/S Inhib and Test GPWS to work.
I have tested both switches and all the Mip led's and they are all working correctly.

    Var 185
In the manual Var 185 states you have to add the "767Mip: Inhibit An" macro to virtual button 0 of Joystick65, should this be Var 555 Joystick64?

Does this have to be bit 0 of Joystick64 as I have already got some buttons assigned?

I have put this macro into the modules folder and it is seen by FSUIPC in the drop down list in the key presses section but I am unable to assign my pushbutton to it in this and the buttons + switches section.
I have searched the internet and the FSUIPC manual and all I can find about mouse macro's is for creating them and not how to use existing macro's.

    Var 349
I cannot get this button to be recognised by FSUIPC.
I opened the 767Mip macro and noticed there was an entry for this Test switch so I pressume that it too requires a virtual joystick button assigning?

Do both of these Var's require additional code to reflect they are linked to Joystick64 buttons?

    Regards
    Mick

    Hi Nico,

Sorry for the included adverts in my post.
I always have difficulty with this forum, when I come to submit a post it tells me I am not logged in although I am.
When it asked me this time to login I did so again and it automatically submitted my post with the included adverts.

Re: Var 185 G/S Inhib macro and Var 349 Test GPWS

    Hello Mick,

For the VAR 185 (GS inhibited), the manual is correct : FSUIPC programming Button 0 / Joystick65
To use macro in the mousemacro folder.
See the website of Nico for the programming the affection buttons of virtual Joystick
    http://www.lekseecon.nl/howto.html#keygen method #2

For the VAR 349 (GPWS test) , this variable be assigned as the VAR 185.
Thanks to Niko for more information: how this variable is assigned

Many thanks to Niko for the version 9 which is really complete

    Regards,
    Marc (Bordeaux - France)

Re: Var 185 G/S Inhib macro and Var 349 Test GPWS

    Hi guys,
Var 185 will always Inhibit G/S warnings in lekseecon's GPWS. If you want to inhibit GS warnings in the Level-D panel too, you should indeed assign the macro to bit 0 of Joystick 65. Note that if you completely use the lekseecon GPWS there is actually no need to do that, but if you still like that yellow inhibit word in the Level-D panel you can...

@Mick: assigning a mouse macro is the same as assigning a FSControl to a button.

Var 349 (GPWS test) is "only" triggering the GPWS test of lekseecon, which is much more real then the GPWS test in the Level-D panel. I have not add the possibility to assign a macro for triggering the Level-D GPWS test as well because that would conflict with the test performed by lekseecon. If you only want to trigger the Level-D GPWS you can always assign such a macro to another virtual button (for instance at JoyStick64).

But the whole idea behind the lekseecon GPWS is to forget the Level-D panel and to rely on your hardware powered by lekseecon!

    regards,
    Nico

    Hi Nico,

    Thanks.
I will try that, I was under the impression you had to use the macro and Joystick 64/65 for them to work.

Yes, I was using that method of assigning a button with the macro but FSUIPC did not recognise the button.

Regards and also Thanks to Marc

    Hi Nico,

    Thanks for the informations.

VAR 185 = G/S inhibited Lekseecon GPWS. If i program this VAR button 0 joystick 65 (amber light on my MIP SIMU), the G/S inhibited Lekseecon GPWS function remains operational ! Otherwise, programming of the macro on the VAR 555 (joystick 64) to manage G/S inhibited amber light.

    Regards,

    Marc.

Re: Var 185 G/S Inhib macro and Var 349 Test GPWS

    Hi Marc,

I don't understand what you want to say, sorry. This is the behaviour you should expect:

If you link an On/Off switch to Var 185 in SIOC, and you put the switch in the ON position, there will be no GND + PROX GS INHIBIT Visual Alerts, but PROX GS INHIBIT will lit continuously. There are also no Aural Alerts Glideslope (Soft or Loud).

This works, whatever you do with the "767Mip: Inhibit An" macro. The latter only has effect on the Level-D panel.... If you want that, you should assign that macro to bit 0 of Joystick 65 (as well on push as release). If you change var 185, lekseecon will toggle that virtual button too, on top of the behaviour described above.

    Regards,
    Nico

    Hi Nico,

with this explanation complementary for VAR 185, this is clear.

    Thanks.

    Marc.
