bug in keys program vs 2 ?

Perhaps I am doing something wrong.
I deleted all of my single key assignments in FSX, and even edited the xml key mapping file to add new controls like the AP VS + and -. I assigned the AP VS + and - to ZQ and ZW.
To test this out, in FSX, I press both Z and Q at the same time and it works great. I assign the same to the Keys program, nothing happens. In notepad, when I use the Keys program, it works great, it shows ZQ and ZW.
The keys program is programmed for Flight Simulator X.
I suspect that there is an issue when it comes to dual key assignments with the keys program on my computer. To test this, I reasigned the keys program to do Cntrl Q and Cntrl W, then assign the AP VS + and - to the same. It works great!
So why is there an issue with ZQ and ZW but not Cntrl Q and Cntrl W?
I made sure to delete the Z command for autopilot on off.

Re: bug in keys program vs 2 ?

The only keys I programmed in for "hold down and press something else" were the SHIFT , CONTROL and ALT keys (the standard windows keys) so there is no bug. It's doing what it's meant to do.

To open it out further meant it was just going to get "messy" for the average user to use and understand.
