Phidgets .ini files - FSfield lists etc etc

    Hi all,

Hoping this doesn't sound too dumb but here goes.

I have 737 TQ with the "usual" 3 Phidgets cards - all working on that front.

    I have FS2Phidgets (version prior to 5).

My question is this, if there is another pit builder with the same cards - I know actual ports etc may vary - but would I be able to start with that persons .ini files and just "tweak" them for my setup? Rather than starting from scratch?

I'm really struggling with setting this all up and it would seem that it should not be this hard.

It would seem that things like Throttle1, Throttle2, Flaps lever, speed brake lever, park brake switch / park brake light would be things that someone must have setup before, so I guess there is an .ini file that could be invaluable to dummy like me?

Any thoughts, assistance greatly appreciated. If you're on the NSW Central Coast or Sydney I'd be particularly interested in having a chat.

    Kind regards
    Tony

    Tony,

Yes. You could. I would suggest doing this with version 4.

    Thanks Alan,

Anyone out there with a similar setup that would be happy to donate a couple of .ini files? Alternatively a step-by-step guide to setting this stuff up.

Call me dumb all you like but I'm struggling here.

Once again any assistance greatly appreciated.

    Kind regards
    Tony

    Tony,

Wish I could help, but my project is in 5 and much less ambitious than yours.

Thanks Reid - I've actually downloaded 5 and thought that front end looked slightly more daunting than the earlier version.

    Cheers

Re: Phidgets .ini files - FSfield lists etc etc

I'm still wondering if there is anyone out there with the same Phidgets cards / similar setup, used Fs2Phidgets to get it working that could forward their .ini files to me and I could give this idea a try.

Indeed it would be easier to rewire the cards to suit the ini file rather than the other way around!

    Cheers all.
