    introducing my project.

I'd like to say a big hi to everyone here!
I've been coming here for a couple of months now. I like the atmosphere so much I'd like to stick around. With the Holidays I've had a chance to join and upload some pictures of my own generic pit. They're in the gallery. I haven't learned how to link to them yet.
It's still very early days for my pit and your comments are welcomed.

    Bill.

    edited for grammar.

Looks very good to me, it's much more developed than most simmers even want to do. Thanks for posting your pictures.

    Talking

Welcome Bill! Man it is good to see so many new faces and so many new (to me) projects! This should be a great place for meeting and talking about our projects. And as a friend of mine and I say.. No glazing over of the eyes while we talk about it! Very nice indeed!!

    Hello,

Nice work Bill. I hadn’t seen a single seat set up till now. Here is my humble work that I have started. I have come over with Project Magenta's forum. I have already seen some incredible work here, and it’s given me ideas on how to improve my project. Speaking of which that is going to figure out how to get seven segment LED's working in my overhead.

Look forward to seeing more of your work Bill.

    Best Regards,
    James

    very nice job wollo....Bill
as an aircraft engineer I appreciate the realistic construction down to the lightening holes
If I'm not mistaken, that's LOMAC you're flying...
How hard is it to get the gauges on a second monitor?

James, real nice work there. I was sorely tempted to do something similar but don't have the space. I'll bet that's something else on final approach.
for your seven segment displays you might want to try : http://www.opencockpits.com/modules....howpage&pid=31

jabomeister, I think you are the first person to see the holes for their true purpose. I hope I haven't weakened the structure too much.
That was indeed Lomac, it wasn't too bad to get the gauges going. It isn't a second monitor on pc1 though. Its a second computer networked with pc1 .
Your laptop may be able to run the software. Its definately worth a try.Nice desktop sim mate, keep us updated with pics.

You need this first it's called F4 glass: http://www.eagle9.nl/redirtest.asp?l...ds/default.asp

    then go here: http://forums.frugalsworld.com/vbb/s...ad.php?t=78906

post number 8 explains it quite well. let me know if you have any problems.
Read down to post 10 if you play Il-2.

Matt, your cockpit is inspirational, how long have you been building that?

    Bill
    Thanks for the links
I tried UDPSpeed for IL2 on the laptop and any version I tried failed to run.
The laptop is old running windows 98....and I don't even have it home at the moment.
For my next setup, I want to use just two monitors on one computer, so I would need the instruments to run on the same machine. That's easy with FS, when I tried IL2 running UDPSpeed on the same machine I had to window it and it ran really slow.
F4 Glass should work fine on a second monitor since Falcon 4 is a pretty old piece of software and the requirements are lower.

Bill, thanks for the kind words.... Before it flew into a storage unit (5 months ago), about five years. Looking for a new home to put it in
