    Deciding what route to take?

    Hello,

Well Im building a home cockpit but don't really know what route to take. I know for definet I am not building a airbus kind of thing or a boeing etc. I am more off a light aircraft fan. I don't want to build a exact replica of a plane so pretty much thats the only plane I can really fly in there.. without it looking out of place. I was thinking of creating something kind of universal.

On the right side of the panel I was going to have

A 19inch display on the left with all instruements.

In the middle im going to have

    Saitek Pro Flight Radio Panel
    Saitek Pro Flight Multi-Panel
    Saitek Pro Flight BIP
    Saitek Pro Flight Switch Panel

On the left side im going to have

Another 19inch display with GPS etc..

I will also have the saitek pro flight yoke and throttle D:

I understand that with this look my plane will be like any sort of plane with a glass cockpit which I really like.

Any information from you guys would be appreciated.

Ps~ My favourite light aircraft are Cessna's and Mooney Bravo's

~Also here is a picture of a home cockpit on youtube that I kind of like

    the design im going for.jpg

    Thanks Aidan.

Re: Deciding what route to take?

You have the right idea. Most all cockpits have a similar setup. Usually the avionics are on the right. Throttles and gear lever in the middle. I'd suggest Googleing images of cockpits and find one you really like. For your setup, I'd recommend the saitek radios too. You could also expand the avionics to the side on a center console. In the end, it doesn't matter. It's what you like.
