Insight on A320 Type Rating Please. CPL/IR 5 years ago.
So having graduated from flight school 5 years ago, I struggled for a good two years trying to find a job with no luck.
I continued working as an accountant to pay my bills and support my family.
Lucky enough I have just been offered a job for an airline and been assigned the Airbus a320.
Needless to say, I can finally pursue my dream of becoming a Pilot.
Problem is I have not brushed up on anything for a very long time now.
Only flights I have been doing were the recency which tbh were not very difficult.
I have no problems digging the books, I am sure I will be on track with the SOP's, with the abnormalities etc. That will just require a lot of studying.
I'm more worried about the flying part at the moment.
Friends of mine that are type rated today say it's an A-Z course where they teach you everything you need to know.
Flying the Airbus has a lot to do with autopilot, and FMS, which you need to understand, and will be taught.
Just looking for some insight from the more experienced!
Cheers
