Emuteq radios and GPS unit update

I received a set of com/nav radio's and a GPS unit from Emuteq a few weeks ago and finally found time to install them into the sim. I couldn't be happier with these units, quick delivery, excellent packaging, easy to use and they add a huge sense of realism to the sim. The radio's are sitting on the glare shield for now but will get mounted into the panel this week.

I've also added a second computer running on Wideview to display the right and left side views. Previously we only had a right side view, the addition of the left side window has been great and really improves the "feel" of the sim. The gauges are also now running on networked computers, the performance increase doing this was impressive.

Looking better all the time Shawn. Are you still going to build a GPS for yourself?

Thanks Jess, I'm definatly planning to build my own GPS unit but have decided to wait until I buy a CNC machine. I do have a weather radar in the works though, it seemed like a simpler project to tackle before the GPS.

Looks good Shawn. The radios plug and play?

Thanks Jake, the radio's are basically plug and play, there is a small utility download but otherwise you just plug them in an go. The GPS unit was a bit more difficult, the coordinates to resize the Reality XP GPS didn't quite work for me and not all the buttons worked when I cut and pasted the new button section into the FSUIPC and Reality XP software but I was able to manually assign the commands in FSUIPC. Both units seem very well built and well worth the money.
