    Post Surgery Time

Some of you know I was scheduled to have back surgery about 1 1/2 years ago. It was postponed for medical reasons. I finally got the "OK" and am now scheduled for my surgery on February 28th. I'll be hospitalized for up to 4
days and perhaps afterwards to a rehabilitation facility (I'm not planning on this).

I'm having three (each) of my Cervical and Lumbar vertebrae fused. The initial and crucial recovery time is 8 to 14 weeks. During the recovery time I'll be sedated most of the time. After the initial recovery time I will most likely be incoherent, although, I'm sure (for my flightsim friends), I won't be able to refrain from viewing MyCockpit.org

So if I don't respond to my emails or MyCockpit.org PM's after February 27th, you'll know why.

    Re: Surgery Time

Best wishes for a speedy recovery, Matt.

My mum and my dad both had this surgery - albeit only for cervical vertebrae - so I know that it's a serious procedure but can produce wonderful results. My mum was pain-free for the first time in years after she recovered from her surgery.

I look forward to seeing you around these parts again soon.

    NH
