    Norwegian 727-200 project

Hi everyone. This is the continuation of this thread http://www.mycockpit.org/forums/show...MIP-dimensions

Here's an update of todays progress.

I found that 2" drain pipes would work for engine instrument bezels.

    MIP Painted

A few items added to the centre panel. Bought from 737NUT

Panels mounted back in the cockpit structure

Glare panel off of ebay, Hacked a hole and fitted the FD in to it. The FD has been interfaced to a Leo Bodnar card

Got the OH panel up tonight as well

A pic of the MIP without flash

    Re: Norweigian 727-200 project

Lookin' great!!! So excited to see a 727 coming together (especially one from scratch). I never heard back if you were still wanting help with locating or obtaining pieces either, so if you sent that message, it was lost.

Do you need the actual glareshield itself or is it just not set up yet? There are a couple dirt cheap ones on E-Bay that don't have the fire pulls (which you already have).

    Hi Jon.

I never heard back from you. I guess your message got lost. I did get a glare shield off of e-bay. It will be sent by sea together with a few other items, so I won't see that for a while unfortunately. I have plenty work to do with the stuff that have arrived though. I really can't proceed with the windows and the rest of the shell construction before I get the glare shield though.

I can't believe I mispelled the title! I must have bee exhausted from putting up that OH panel last night!

Just noticed something....are you missing the light caps for the instrument comparators??? I think they go to either side of the fire pulls, but I'm not building a Boeing cockpit so I'm not sure. I happen to have just the light caps if you need them.

    It looks absolutely wonderful.

Yes, I do miss all the caps on the glare panel. I didn't know they were instrument comparator caps though. I know the other ones I miss is the Wheel weel fire cap, and bottle discharged caps. Maybe I'll get them from you along with that tiller wheel!

    Thanks for the nice comment!

    Re: Norweigian 727-200 project

I've been busy wiring up and interfacing the OH panel lately. Still waiting for my 5v power supply for the backlighting.
Most of the switches are hooked up now.

Can anybody tell me how to loose the guage night lighting? This is what happens to the non DF guages at night.

If I turn the off the fluorescent panel light on the OH panel they all reappear though

    Re: Norwegian 727-200 project

    Hi
I just came across this thread.

First congratulations on your work and for choosing the Boeing 727 for your sim. Welcome to a very exclusive 727 sim builders club!!!
Second I apologize for not recieve your private message. Last year I had many problems with my server and with virus issues.

Its been many years since I builts my panel and since I played arround with FSPANEL STUDIO but I think your problem with the gauges is because you may have to assing a "Night Lighting Color Hue Effect" to them. FSPANEL ST will let you assign a night lighting color ( yellowish, redish, greenish etc.) effect to your gauges so you can see them at night. If this is not done then at night the gauges will be pitch black.

If this works for you then make sure to assign the same night lighting effect (color) to the gauges you CAN ALREADY SEE at night with the fluore light on. You do not want some of your guages to look redish and others yellowish at night. They should all look incandescent yellowish at night.

Are you using the Richard Probust gauges?

I hope this works for You and look foward to seeing Your Boeing 727 in the Sky Very Soon!!!
