Help on Single 1080P projector for Virtual Cockpit

    Hi,
currently I can not afford to make a full flight sim, like many of you who have done amazing jobs so far!

I need help trying to figure out how well a 1080P short throw projector that runs at 1900x1080 resolution in front of me like a monitor will look.

Basically to make the screen as large as possible with a screen behind and I will be sitting 70-100cm away.
And any recommendations of projectors that would peform well?

The idea is to make a really large virtual cockpit (e.g. PMDG 737 ngx)

    THANKS!
    Philip

Re: Help on Single 1080P projector for Virtual Cockpit

    HI Philip
spend some time looking at projector topics in flight sim groups because there are many things to consider, such as screen material, "throw" of projector, effects of reflection from the screen and surrounding area, ambient light and more. There's lots of advice on this site in the forums. As at some time you'll have to make an expensive decision it's best to be armed with as much knowledge as possible. Projector images are inherently dimmer than a PC monitor so you need to take all these factors into consideration when deciding which projector and how to incorporate it into your setup to give the best results.
