Not sure I'm understanding correctly. Do you mean the bezel?

You can use almost anything you want, I have tried tuna cans, thin walled PVC pipe, the bottom of a plastic cup. They don't really have to be that strong as they are supported by the actual hole in the MIP. Once you start looking at everything around you as a possible part for your simulator you'll be surprised at what you can come up with

yes the bezel but inside of the circle that is cut out for the gauges i see alot of ppl are using something inside the hole to make it look like a real gauge and not a bezel over a monitor type look

If you can post a picture of what you mean, I am sure you will get more advice on how it was achieved.

    Re: building a mip

That is a machined bezel made by Steve Masters, he sells them through his website I think.

    http://emuteq.com/

By the way, to make bezels, I just purchased a load of old aircraft gauges and used the bezels off of them. I have also had them cnc'ed for me and I have made them as stickers using my sign machine. The 'lip' on plastic party cups works a treat....and cheap!

Simkits sell them for 20 euros each
