6v - 12v Adapters

This is my connection (United Kingdom) for my Phidgets LED64 Card to my power supply. As you can see it takes up quite a bit of room on my power strip - taking up the space for 2 plugs. Is there a neater solution?Can I find somewhere smaller voltage transformers or --- Can I cut off the US plug and use an extra PC power supply unit to get my 6v -12v.
My CP Flight MCP uses something similar. Could I connect it also to this extra PSU.
It certainly would be much neater. But I don't want to risk damaging these expensive units.

do you need both 6 and 12v supplies or just 12v?

I probably have a 12volt PSU you can have kicking around..(for just shipping)...I will venture into the darkest attic tomorrow and confirm..it will either be a small plug in one or a higher rated box that will need a "figure of 8" lead!

Watch this space or rather come back (save ya just sitting there ....hee hee)

Hi John,
I have a spare Comp PSU just sitting here. I was simply thinking (shouldn't at my age) of tidying up a few leads and connecting the aforementioned items. However since i first posted this query I have got an extra extension 6 input socket and can remotely control it with a wireless plug. Now that saves crawling around on the floor reaching under the computer desk to switch things off at night. I can also control my romantic lighting but that's another story!!!!!!!!
