    757?

I'd like to build a 757 cockpit for use in FSX (not a full scale whole thing ... just the important bits !) but it seems everyone has a 737, with loads of stuff available for them .. but I've found nothing at all for the 757, no parts for sale, no measurements, no nothing !

If anyone could provide anything, it'd be greatly appreciated !

    Re: 757?

I believe the 757 has an almost identical cockpit to the 767 so you can use the drawings for that and just modify tosuit any differences such as the THQ and minor switche position/functions. You can find a full set of dimensioned cockpit drawings here:----

    http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/...ckpitbuilders/

join the group (free) to be able to download anything you need. If you don't have Autocad get a free viewer off the interweb to be able to extract the dimensions from the drawings in the "files" section.
There are some parts for sale for the 767 which you can use such as here:-

    Re: 757?

Thanks Geoff, I knew 767 was the same, but couldn't find anything for that either, so thanks for your link !

I'd love to build a full sim, but budget and space restrict me, and so I'd be looking to build just the main captains instruments (MIP) and glare, MCP, etc ... with scaled down overhead and pedestal, with a throttle quadrant.

I will be using the Saitek yoke and rudder set, but everything else will really have to be from scratch due to budget, I thought an old CRT monitor would be perfect for gauges ?

    Re: 757?

    Hi Alex
I made the autocad drawings on the other website and I'm only 2.5 hours drive from you. I've got a cnc machine and lots of time as I've retired early so if you want to make the trip and bring your materials I can cut out your panels/MIP for you no charge. You only need some MDF and 6mm opal Acrylic both painted in household emulsion( paint with small sponge roller in matt emulsion from B&Q gives good results), costs maybe £50 tops.Look around for PC monitors going cheap say 17", 19", 21" and 1 at 15 widescreen fot the EICAS". and you've got yourself 70% of your MIP.

    Re: 757?

Thanks for your really generous offer, however, I'm only trying to work out my options at the moment, and am not ready to start a serious build.

However, I will of course bear it in mind !
