    Builders,

Microsoft is taking applications for Flight Beta testers!

Here is a link to the signup page.

Builder feedback would be great to get to them. Please apply!

Well I've applied but i might be rejected. Two things in that application don't bode well:

    This one

    8. Do not attempt to hack, modify, decompile, reverse engineer, or otherwise tamper with the beta software.

is all very well and agreeable, providing either there's an SDK at least up to FSX's SimConnect standards, or some of that is relaxed in later releases. Otherwise there's not a chance of me being involved. And gamertags? Ugh!

"Note: A gamertag is a unique name that identifies you on the Games for Windows LIVE and Xbox LIVE service. If you don抰 have a gamertag, register for one here"

I don't want anything to do with that I'm afraid, and said so -- so my application will no doubt be rejected.

    Regards
    Pete

What's the issue with the gametag. I've never owned an xbox or any gaming machine for that matter (other than my PC for flight sim), nor used any online gaming service so I don't know much about any pitfalls or problems.

But, I put my name in yesterday. Before seeing this. Fingers crossed...

    Re: gamertags
Mine became unboundedline9 or something like that, randomly generated by the system... Don't use them so I couldn't be bothered to change it.

    Application sent!

MS are off their rockers if they don't beg you to be on their team Pete!

I hope they won't be that foolish.
