Screens
Hi all,
First of all I would just like to thank everyone for their help so far as well as the organizers of this outstanding web site. Seems a man would be insane by now without you guys
Now opinion poll if I may.. What size screens do you guys think I should get for the out side view of my sim. I plan to use 3 screens but don't want to rush out and buy them and then find they are to big / small. Don't have the room for projectors which would have been my first choice so I'm kinda leaning towards 32 inch HD tv's but is that going to be to big? Any feed back would be appreciated.
Thanks
Mark.

Re: Screens
Im the one who thinks never is too big!!!
A few month ago, we had 3x47" at 1.5-1.7 from our eyes and was just ok, but we can see the up and down bezels from inside the cockpit.Greetings!

Re: Screens
Hi Aaron,
Thanks for the reply. I was looking at putting the screens just off the glareshield with a small wrap around effect.

Re: Screens
Hi Nax,
Kinda thinking 60' plasma's are a bit big for me.. not to mention the sunburn lol.
Think I'm going with 32 ' lcd's (fingers crossed i get this right )
Will let you know how it works out.
Cheers

Re: Screens
This might be a newbie question, but is there a particular reason that I see most folks using "conventional" LCD TV's for the externals as opposed to large format monitors?
I know there is a price difference, is that the main factor? Wouldn't there be performance issues on the part of the display or is that neglible for this purpose?
I ask because I currently have 3 24" monitors...and to be honest, they look puny on the wall when compared to the sim (full setup). As above, I've no room for the projectors, even short throw. But if I could go to 32" LCD TV as opposed to 32" Monitor, it would be half the cost!
Thanks!

Re: Screens
G'day Matt,
Currently I am using a 42' plasma but I get some pixeling (if that's a word). I decided to go for LCD for reason of cost.
In Australia I can get a 32' HD LCD TV for around $250.00. 32' monitors are hard to get, even on Ebay and when you do find them they are too expensive. I don't think there is any difference in picture quality either. We will see.
Cheers.
