Question Sound Volume change with SIOC and potentiometer ?

    Hello guys,

I am currently thinking of changing the master sound volume from a Windows machnie with a potentiomenter.
I have Leo's joystick card (http://www.leobodnar.com/products/BU0836X/) and they are also able to run potentiometers.
How is it possible to lower and raise the Windows Master Sound volume with one Potentiometer?
Can this work with SIOC or WideFS Client ?
Anyone tried this or has an idea ?

    thanks,
    Markus
    best regards, Markus

Re: Sound Volume change with SIOC and potentiometer ?

Just a thought but perhaps you should think outside the box on this one. Run the volume control through your sound system not the computer system. That way you don't need to interface/right code for/test etc. the sound coming out. Just set it and 'forget it' by controlling the volume outside of the computer it will save a ton of trying to get it work inside. By set it I mean have the maximum setting coming out of the computer then with the volume control decide what volume you like.

If you have a small mixer you can control both the input and output sounds. You can also reconfigure (kit bash) it so that it's part of your cockpit (make it appear to be your intercom).
