Help - FSX close itself after few minutes

Hi,

I just bought my new PC for my simulator project, with Intel i7, ram 12 GB, and video card AMD 6970, which has the Eyefinity features. It runs Windows 7.

It runs other programs and games without any problems. However, everytime I run FSX, after flying about 5-10 minutes, it suddenly close itself and goes back to desktop. No error messages show up.

Is the any problem with the spec I bought that does not compatible with FSX? Or there are setting that I have to change?

Are you running FSX SP2?

Hi,

I am not sure whether I am using SP2 or not. All I did was install the FSX only. I have the Acceleraion Expansion Pack but I have not installed it.

Is there anyway to check whether it uses SP2 or not?

Hi Adni,
i suspect you do not have SP2 installed.To the best of my knowledge sp2 was only included in the Acceleration pack. Suggest you load that and see what happens.SP2 should be installed as it improved FSX considerably.
If this doesnt help try deleting FSX.cfg and let it generate a new one as this maybe corupted.
