Post Builder of the Month: Poll

Hello MyCockpit members and visitors, it is with pleasure i announce the new builder of the month programme. You may recall my news article on the homepage some weeks ago announcing the relaunch of the popular interview where the builder who i feel has contributed the most, shown innovation and build progress is given the 'Builder of the Month' or BOM award.

The new layout will see you people involved in the process of selecting our Builder of the Month. A Poll will be released in month 1 which will run for 3-4 weeks, the winner will then be selected by having the most votes from our members, the interview of this winner will then be released in our usual interview format the following month.

For example - september will be the Poll period for selection, with the winners interview published in the month of October. This allows your participation, your input and your expertise as simbuilders yourself to select the winner.

Without further ado, the nominations are as follows:
(Please feel free to nominate any member by contacting me for the next BOM Poll)

CWFlightSim: Cockpit made from the chassis of a car, demonstrates excellent innovation, craftsmanship and quality in this one of a kind flight simulator. See the thread here:

Norwegian737Project: Demonstrates the realism that can be acheived in this excellent high quality boeing 737 simulator. The construction of the shell has shown excellent progress and shows what can be achieved with some wood!

Please view the threads of the 2 nominees where pictures can be found, and please vote for the candidate who you think should be the next Builder of the Month.

Thanks for your participation, just one click and you're done!

The CWFlightSim link should start on page 1 of the thread as that's where it's described and imaged. Still pretty tough choice to make.

Hi Ronson, my account shows the latest posts first in page 1, so the images and initial post are shown on page 3 for me, so i beleive this is displayed correctly for some people. Please ensure you look at the pictures on both threads to help make your decisions

Re: Builder of the Month: Poll

I have chosen the CWFlightsim, for it's total uniqueness. I can just imagine going down the garage and seeing a car with a planes interior - hysterical.
The norweigan737 project is also great - but I have seen the norweigan pit loads of times and anyone can do that if you throw enough money into it.

Re: Builder of the Month: Poll

In many ways they are the opposite of each other. One has spent a great deal of time crafting the shell of his aircraft and the other the interior of his aircraft. However both have been well crafted. Hence the difficult decision. Don't know if the car is still a rolling chassis or not? If it is then could be a much easier move then the Norwegian one is going through now. If the Norwegian guy had only thought to put it in a horse trailer instead of a stable He knew the time would come anyway. You really would loose your sense of flight if you heard a horse winy every once and while Pegasus perhaps?

Both are very well deserving in my book anyway.

    Cheers
    Ron

Ive voted for CW flight sim just because it is innovative!

Nothing like I have seen before and glad I can tell the story if what I have seen.
