Rotarty Encoder issue
Hi all
I have an issue with my rotary encoders and not sure whats going on
I have hooked up Rotary encoder CTS 288 model 288T232R161A2 to B32 on Leo's BU0836X board.
Middle pin is connected to Gnd on the board , left pin is connected to B32
right is connected to B31
I went into game controllers to check to make sure they are working.
Rotated the encoder to the right and switch 32 lights up but if I keep turning to the right, 31 lights up. Turn the encoder to the left 31 lights up, but keep turning to the left 31 lights up
Is that normal
Cheers

Re: Rotarty Encoder issue
that is normal if you have not used the "encoders.exe" that is on Leo's site, there you set the encoder to the 31/32 input pair. then it will work normal.

Re: Rotarty Encoder issue
Thanks Guys,
As Homer Simpson Would Say - Duh, my mistake, had the second output wire connected the to the B32 Gnd connection.
Hey Reid, did Pete get round to doing a program to handle as many rotaries as you wish
Cheers
