    Re: New Project Magenta Homepage

Hello! - my one suggestion would be to include the build number next to the update file download link, or in the "more details" section - this is then easy enough to check against your existing version - i remember a utility that would, on startup, check your current version against the PM updates directory..... did I dream this? or did it really exist?

Otherwise, I like the lookfeel of the new site - well done ...

    Hi,

    You did not dream.

Up until the new style PM homepage came online you was able to check your versions against the PM site and automatically download the newer versions as well as FSUIPC/WideFS.

That excellent program was called pmCheckVersion.exe
Enrico - give us back that functionality a.s.a.p. ! Please !

    Best,
    Bjorn

Now the build numbers are shown and the updates are sorted by the date they were uploaded for your convenience.

It might have been a useful little program (and has been copied elsewhere), but the website will allow us to improve even on that. Just give us some time to experiment and you will see what we come up with.

For the time being pmCheckVersion has been retired.

    Re: New Project Magenta Homepage

I like new PM site. It took 30sec to understand where everything is.
    So big hand for this.
Other issue said before was about bad response from PM support.
I must mainly disagree with this. Sometimes it takes a couple of weeks
to get contact. Normally I get feedback very soon. The support is allways
nice and helpfull. I have read manuals and that makes discussion easier
with support. Some things just don't seem to get solved. It's not allways
due to PM software. I also don't understand why PM should offer support
for other companies hardware. It is their task to make compatible drivers
if they say "it is PM supported" etc.
I'm sorry this went out of topic.

I think the new PM Website could not be easier, everything is there in the right menu regardless to what page you are on when you are logged in.

Since my critisism of the support levels from PM last week Enrico and Jonathan have been extremely helpful ...so I would like to publicly thank them for that.

Stefan and JWS, you have normal access to the updates now?

Also, if you were using RSS, please use the new feed on http://www.projectmagenta.com/feed and remove the old one...

As far as I can tell, yes. Just downloaded the latest updates. BTW, can't find the PMSound files (but maybe looking in the wrong place).

    Thanks,

    JWS
