More Freeware Got to be good

    Hi Jim,
Nice to see you here, been to your site many times. I like the ideas you have for the Arduino cards. I see these a wee while back and bought one for another project. Wondered when and if someone would get round to using it in fsx.
I love your multi format software handling a lot of diferent popular i/f.
Will be intereste dto see how it develops, like the concept. As a lot of people have
use many diff i/f in their sims.
Keep up the good work, we cant have to much of Free FSX software/Hardware.
Which part of NZ do you live.
    Regards
    Les

Re: More Freeware Got to be good

Hi Les ,, Yes I've seen you around a lot but I generally keep my head low unless something really grabs me.

Today has been a busy day ,,, we got the forum going which is great.
I also done a big update on my site ,,, How does 66 switch outlets sound from a mega card,, I released a BETA program that will turn the Mega (or Uno) cards into switch input cards for FSX or FS2004 ,, well actually just about any program. I'm real happy with the way it turned out. There are some bugs to sort out but even in its present state,, still very useable.
If you have been to my site before,, you will probably have to hit refresh.

My mind races as to what we can do with these cards. !! Theres a lot of fun ahead.

I'm down in Central Otago Les ,, Where are you??

    Cheers ,,,, Jim

Keep up the good work Jim im sure during these recession times people appreciate the effort guys like you
put in and want nothing back. Many a time i longed for the ability to program and everything tha goes with

Les !!! You wont need a motion platform up there ,,, everything moves by itself !!!

I cleaned out all the bugs in my "keys" program and tidyed it up, made some things automatic so its really racing now.
I'll release the update in a day or so.
Its very different ,, but the same, if that makes sence.

Listen young fella,, your never too long in the tooth ,,, get into it !!

    Cheers ,, Jim

but i looking and think lot how at easy way adding trimm wheel too whit ardu uno ?
and yoke build ? potentiometers ?
my dreams have i made trimm wheel and then if working good made baddles,(toebrake, etc) sorry my english no good im from Finland
how i use programs ? mean arduino i adding pde/ino,its ok, many other project working whit ardu.
but i think ,no understand ardu connect to usb,and what more ? link2fs program run ? need run fsuip too ?
and what more, start fs9 ?

Re: More Freeware Got to be good

Hi Matti ,, you popped up in a very old thread here

    Anyway to answer your questions,,,
You would not use my program to input things like a yoke etc.
Find a card that is seen by windows as a joystick or strip out the board from an old USB joystick and use that.

My program are best suited for using outputs from flightsim (for LED's displays etc) and easy inputs using keystrokes.
Direct simconnect inputs hasn't been added yet.

As far as a trim wheel goes ,, you could use either the USB joystick type input or use the "keys" bit in my software to send pulses.

FS9 needs to be running before you start my program.

It's probably best not to jump too far forward to start with and get used to using the Arduino and my software and get used to what happens where and then you will find what you can do with it.

There are plenty of demo INO's at my website and in these forum threads for you to have a play with so have a look around.

    Happy fiddling Matti ,,, Jim
