    My el cheapo overhead solution

    Hi,

I just wanted to share some pictures of my overhead project :

    Attachment 5073
    Attachment 5072

As you can probably see, I'm building my cockpit in a Ikea book case.
The overhead is just a piece of perspex with my own drawings of the overhead glued on, but with the annunciators and switches it's very satisfying. The only thing missing is the back lighting, of course. The whole thing hinges at the bottom so it can be easily stowed when not in use.

Sure, the switches I found on ebay, the annunciators are from Open Cockpits.
The switches are connected to Leo Bodnars BU0836X cards, the annunciators to Phidgets advanced 64 display card. The logic comes from the flyboysshop interface.
    Works like a charm.
