    Panel editing question

I am using FS Panel Studio to rearrange panels for my simpit build. One of the issues I am having is that some of the panel windows use clickspots on the main panel to open these sub-panels. When I use the panel editor, it loses the clickspots. Many of the subpanels on this aircraft use SHIFT+# to open the subpanels, but there are more subpanels than can be accommodated this way. I was wondering if it was possible to edit panels so that subpanels could be opened with a keypress, rather than a clickspot.

    Thanks for the help

    Re: Panel editing question

I seem to have found a workaround. Fs Panel Editor allows me to select which windows I want to open at startup. This at least gives me access to these windows. I am still not able to access one of the guages.

I have not been able to really get into FSPS yet I did pull it up and opened up the Carenado 185 panel (lots of windows in that panel cfg) If I remember correctly it has to do with the panel Ident. I will look into it tommorow I just got back from my sons Music program at school.

Thanks, I will check my manual about the ident. I think you have to make sure an opening icon and the guage it opens share the same ident or something like that. Thanks.

    Re: Panel editing question

Yes that is the case. I believe that when you edit the gauge you can specify if the gauge opens with a mouse click or a key.Take a look at one of the gauges that open up with the Shift+?. when the gauge editing screen pops up look for "Element" That is telling FS how the gauge opens whether it is opened from a "click" (mouse click) spot or a keyboard command. I have not verified that all i have seen is "Click" but the aircraft panel i am looking at has lots of click spots. That should get you started in getting your panel customized.
