    Re: POWER?

As you mentioned in your initial post Neil, the UK is pretty unique in it's use of the ring circuit. There's been talk in higher circles of getting rid of it for ages, but it's hanging in there.

That's not a bad thing for us. It's likely replacement would be the 20A radial, also in use in the UK, but less common. Given that a typical dwelling has 1 ring per floor (and perhaps a seperate one serving the kitchen in newer dwellings), housebuilders would simply change that ring to a 20A radial. That would leave us 12A's worse off per circuit. That's when things might start to get warm!

    Long live the Ring Main.

    Re: POWER?

Amen to that. I'm relatively lucky where I live - it's a house conversion but each flat has a separate main power feed from the master distro board in the entrance hall (where the meters are). Then I have a single ring circuit for all my sockets (15 total) plus a separate cooker circuit. So I should be OK for amps provided I don't have all my fan heaters and electric radiators on at the same time as the sim

    Re: POWER?

Power is a capability of a person how much a person can bear pressure. As well as power varying person to person. And all the thread comment are very effective to explain the power.
