    Basic help with BU0836 card

    Hi all,

Okay so its been a few years since I last done electronics. I have a BU0836 card and a DPST rocker switch that I want to use. Which cable do I connect to the GRND, Input and +5v??? I want to setup a basic switch panel for a PA28 but cannot find much documentation on how to wire basic switches. Any help?

    Regards
    Paul

No need to use the +5V Just one side of sw to GND and the other to an open input position.

Re: Basic help with BU0836 card

Many thanks for that. I have a DPST switch that has 4 prongs on it. When I purchased the card I got the three ping connector cable. So I plugged the card into the USB port and Windows see's the card ok. I then bring up the properties off the card which shows the buttons. I touched the two wires from GND and INPUT on various prongs on the switch and nothing showed as being selected in the properties page. I am not sure if this is correct. I also tried to touch the touch wires together to make a circuit but still nothing, do I have to connect up the Columns ? Basically I am only putting a connected onto one of the three pin connectors. All I want is a basic switch panel, could someone post an idiots guid as how to wire this up or is the card faulty or is the switch. The switch can with no instructions! Thanks Paul
