Help a new cockpitbuilder

Hello,

I am a new Cockpit Builder, I am starting in the world of cockpit builder.
I read that you can use SIOC, Fsuipc... to conect with FSX.
But my main problem is how I can send o receive information to a arduino board.
There are a soft to do this.
I am looking about but at this moment I don't find the information.

Welcom, i've started some time ago with phidgets and real studio. Then i moved to the opencockpit cards and would suggest 2 do the same. there good and plenty of help, samples are availble.

Welcome to mycockpit Oscar. Go to the "Arduino playground" for examples. http://www.arduino.cc/playground/Projects/ArduinoUsers There are folks interfacing race car games with Arduino, and there are plenty of examples. I have been working on some "sketches"(simplified C+) for fun with my UNO.

I'm thinking the Arduino will be an up and coming interface solution in the near future.

Welcome Oscar, Yes Arduino cards are used in cockpit panels and even right thru to motion platforms.
There isn't anything about them on this site and to be truthful very little on the net (for Flight sim) but doing a goggle for ,, Arduino FSX ,, gets some hits, but it depends on what you want to do with them.

Joe is correct in saying that it's an "up-and-coming" interface for cockpit builders. They are an amazing card and when software for them is sorted ,, they will give most of the other commercial cards a big scare.

The flight sim community needs to get forum going somewhere specifically just for them. !!!

I have been using Arduino Mega cards exclusively with FSX and they work fantastic. I havent released any software for the Arduino Mega card but I have however released a program for the smaller Arduino Duemilanove/Uno card for people starting out. I done this to help the "starter" pit builder that may have one of the smaller cards in his "junk box". Again, it depends on what you want to do.

Hello Jim!

I searched the web but not much else about it.
Last week I visited your site and saw the file link2fs, I was glad to see it!!. I've gone down but I have not played with it yet.
Thank you very much for your help, I am very interested in doing work with arduino. I specifically I have the arduino nano and first want to start from zero, and finally my purpose is to implement an Airbus 320 FCU.
I will begin with your job, who at the moment is the example that best fits what I want. I guess, next week I will play with it.

Wow Jim! I think, you and I are on the same wave length. I really enjoyed your web-site, lots of valuable information. Us Arduino guys need to get together and create some "sketches". Maybe we can create a sub-forum for this purpose.
