    Backlighting panels first attemp

    Hi Fellow builders,

Here some pictures of my first attemp to backlight my panels, using very small SMD Led's.
Went out very well even in daylight time.
Have to build a small dimmer to dim at night times.

The Next project will be the Boeing clock, hope to post pictures later this week.

    Best regrards

    Jan,

    Looks very good !
Also the light seems to be nicely diffused.

But all compliments have a crtical side .....
The edges of the panels seem fairly sharp.
When some more filleted/rounded its probably a bit more realistic (and the paint holds better to avoid light leakage due to slight damage in the future).

    Hi Hessel,
Thanks for your comment, they look great!!
Yes, it's better to make panels in the future as you sugested.
There will be some wear and tear that would affect the panels, I'll see.
