    Well, assuming that the system is similar to the 747, then its because you havnt set up the IRS, the inertial referencing system. It is what makes the aircraft know its position in the world, attitude and geographical. So that is why you get blank PFD and MFD`s. Ive not flown the 737 in a long while, so im not 100% sure how it works

    So it was IRS indeed... on the ref airport page you have to click refresh IRS button, and then everything is ok,

    Sorry guys, I know it was a stupid question.

    It is not "general aviation". ATT and MAP means the IRS is not aligned and you didn't set the position in the FMC.

    Once in the air, the sofware "gives up" and gives you the data anyway, so you can fly.
