    This incident has been investigated by a panel of government and industry experts and the controller has been seriously disciplined and if I remember correctly sacked.

    Have to add that the pilot is a morron too he is not using standard Phraseology for this type of emergencies! And those controllers are lost I would have landed the thing and just shut up it just added to the tension of the moment! These controllers should be banned forever! My 2 cents!
