    Problems with Overhead (v703)

    Hi Nico,

I a doing a very basic test sicne I have finished building the first column of my overhead. I am simply testing six Outputs, all of which are tied to v703. These are the three QTY annunciators, and the three DEMAND PRESS annunciators.

    This is my code:

    Code:
    Var 703 Static
    {
      &LPRESS = TESTBIT v703 10
      &CPRESS = TESTBIT v703 11
      &RPRESS = TESTBIT v703 12
      &LQTY = TESTBIT v703 3
      &CQTY = TESTBIT v703 4
      &RQTY = TESTBIT v703 5
    }

Var 9001 name LPRESS Link IOCARD_OUT Output 32
Var 9002 name CPRESS Link IOCARD_OUT Output 31
Var 9003 name RPRESS Link IOCARD_OUT Output 47
Var 9004 name LQTY Link IOCARD_OUT Output 33
Var 9005 name CQTY Link IOCARD_OUT Output 40
Var 9006 name RQTY Link IOCARD_OUT Output 34
However, despite the fact that v703 gets updated when I mess around in FSX with the DEMAND controls... Nothing happens to the PRESS or QTY LEDs.

    Have I missed something?

    Regards,

    Jack

    Re: Problems with Overhead (v703)

    Jack,
Are you sure you are doing something that lights up these lights?
Have you checked your outputs and leds? Are these numbers right, are you using Device 0?
    Please post lekseecon_txt.log.

You better implement an Overhead Lights test button, for an easy check .

    Re: Problems with Overhead (v703)

    Hi Nico,

Good news I have fixed the problem. I had actually forgotten to set this particular file to the file loaded by SIOC on startup!!!

Anyway, I now have a new problem. My rotary knob controlling the IRS Display selection is not working properly. Regardless of the real-lfie position, my sim knob always lags behind a position. For example, if my knob was on HDG, the Sim knob is on WIND.

You may think a faulty rotary? It's not. I have tested both with IOCPConsole, Controlador.exe and even a digital multimeter and it works fine. This is my code:

    Code:
Var 12 Static name DPSELTKGS Link IOCARD_SW Input 67 Type I
Var 13 Static name DPSELPPOS Link IOCARD_SW Input 65 Type I
Var 14 Static name DPSELWIND Link IOCARD_SW Input 66 Type I
Var 15 Static name DPSELHDG Link IOCARD_SW Input 64 Type I

    Jack,
The lekseecon variables for IRS Display are 13,14,15 and 16. Your are using 12,13,14 and 15 ...

    Hi Nico,

Thanks very much. I have corrected it and will test later.

    RTFM ... (page 12)
    Nico
Okay... Come on, was that really necessary? I have, in fact, been referencing the manual all day and that's why 95% of my overhead works. It was just a simple error! I was using 12, 13, 14 ,15... very similar to 13, 14, 15, 16.

    Re: Problems with Overhead (v703)

    Hi Jack,
Well, no offense. That phrase is quite often used these days ...

I only want to point out that, in my opinion, you are very quick with posting questions about problems you can solve yourself too, if you just check a few things...

Note that there are more then 100 users of lekseecon. I have tested every lekseecon SIOC variable, so it is very unlikely that there is an error in lekseecon. So if something does not work right away, it is mostly caused by a problem in your own set up. Keep that in mind please.

    kind regards,
    Nico
