    737 small step ahead again

I've been working on the MIP again and wanted to find a solution for the curved top rim of the MIP, where it gets connected to the oddly shaped parts of the glare wing. Studying some pics from Airliners.net I concluded that it was some kind of bended aluminum where the MIP panels were screwed on and the same goes for the glare wing parts.

So I took some aluminum and this is the result.

Next step is the glare wing part.

    Hey JWS,

I'm not sure about the glare wings part, but for the MCP and EFIS, I have the perfect thing for you. I have bracket that was made by FDS and was used by me, but I changed to a more recent version. It would fit into your glareshield opening quite nicely.

There is also a set of upper support brackets that be what you're talking about, take a look at the photos.

I had it for sale on here a year ago for $60. If you give me $30, plus the shipping, you can have it. I paid more than $60, but I know we never get what we pay for them back, so less than 1/2 is okay for a fellow sim builder. Give me a bit and I'll put the pics back up for you.

Edit: I just posted the pics and there are some measurements included, as well as a front view of the mounting of the upper support brackets.

John, thanks for the offer but as you can see, it already fits.

Okay, I didn't see the other photos as too your MIP being mounted...good work by the way.

If anyone else is in need of these brackets, I'll sell them to you for the same $30, plus shipping. If I get someone who wants them right away great; otherwise, I'll just put an ad up again in the classifieds. I am in no hurry...
