    first introductory flight

    Hey everyone,
Yesterday for my birthday my dad booked a trial flight at an airfield. The plane was a light sports aircraft (Fly Synthesis Texan) and the flight lasted 45 minutes. It was spectacular - a VFR flight around the place, and I had control for almost the entire flight, except for parts where my instructor showed me things like trimming the plane. He even let me fly the circuit back to the airfield and even let me land the plane! However I wasn't too good at that - I descended way too slowly and flared the aircraft too high.
One thing I did notice was the difference it had with Flight Simulator - you don't have the sensations when sitting in front of a computer or a homebuilt cockpit. For me it was quite difficult to maintain a level altitude. It's a whole new experience, and I'm glad I was able to experience the true magic of flight.
