    B737-800NG @ Virginia, USA

    Hello guys,

I am finally creating a thread to show everyone the progress I'm making on my home cockpit build. As the title says, I am building a B737-800NG home cockpit and I live in Virginia, USA.

I guess as everyone around this community, I started with a cardboard cutout which quickly overnight sort to speak, started transforming into something more elaborate and FUN!

My system is composed of SIX PCs (4 desktops and 2 laptops), THREE Dell 24" widescreen monitors for the visuals via a TH2Go Digital Edition. Avionics is powered by Sim-Avionics and I am using FSX as the base simulation software.

I will now be showing you some pictures of how the seats are coming along. I bought these off of Craigslist and they were from a 2003 S10 pickup. They are in great condition and I just love the color and shape of them. Not real cockpit seats but get the job done! lol

For now, I will be using a Saitek Pro Flight Yoke mounted on a stand, but once I decide to go with a custom made, linked yoke system, then I will look into making the control column cutouts into the seats.

I will be posting more pics as the work continues and as always, COMMENTS/CRITICISM/SUGGESTIONS are ALL WELCOMED!!!

    Regards,

    Efrain "E" Ruiz (HondaCop)

I love the way you use plastic hooks to attach your cards to the wood, I am in two minds how to attach my leo bodnar card and my LED card to my MIP, screwing it would prob crack the card so looking for another way, yours I like....

Well done sir, excellent sim coming along!

I am absolutely amazed with how neat the wires are! I've been completely neglecting that in my planning but this just convinced me to be a little wiser. Thanks for saving me from dealing with spaghetti down the line! Looking great!
