    777 Project Updates

After a short break, I just got a few new toys for my sim I went with the 767 throttle quad because of its similarities to the 777. With some painting and minor bondo work the unit will look like new! Just too bad this aircraft isn't fly by wire More pics are available on my site.

    Re: 777 Project Updates

Thank you for your compliments! This is a real quad removed from an American Airlines B767. It isn't interfaced yet. My first job is to get the unit cleaned up and repainted. These units have a pretty strong smell from sitting up for so long. Once it's cleaned up, I'll replace all the switches and begin wiring everything.

    Hi Robert,

Good to see you round here again. You've long been an inspiration to many of us builders and particularly the 777. Good luck with the live parts and I look forward to seeing the continued progress.

Very nice! Will you be able to get the autothrottle actuators working, and all the bells and whistles?

Guess nothing's more real than the real thing

    Re: 777 Project Updates

@Ken - Thanks a bunch for your very kind words! It seems the pool of highly detailed projects has expanded tremendously! I look forward to learning from everyone.

@NH - Eventually, I would like to have the autothrottle working. The original push rods are still in place, so I just need to work out a mechanism to push and pull the rod, but still allow manual operation. Maybe someone has already figured this out?

I'm hoping to add the speed brake automation too, which may be an easier place to start.
