How to interface?
Hi guys, youve probably seen my post on buying the xpdr, well, i recieved it earlier today, and ive just been doing some work to find out the pinouts on the actual number encoders, well, here is what ive worked out, its a little confusing :/
0 = Common + 1,2 or 4
1 = Common + 2 or 4
2 = Common + 1 or 4
3 = Common + 4
4 = Common + 1 or 2
5 = Common + 2
6 = Common + 1
7 = No connection
So, this basically means for number 0, i get a connection between any of the terminals, they are all connected, number 1 i get continuity between C+2 or C+4 etc etc, i hope you can understand this, and if possible, help me with how i would interface this? Would i have to use a special I/O board or could i simply have 4 connections per number and use a macro type thing? Cheers guys, and sorry for being so confusing!
