Re: Selling LCD 5'inch FMC VGA Monitor

It is. When I built my Garmin 530 a few years ago, I used a similar screen from Earth LCD. This one would have worked just as well though.

Does anyone know what the recommended power supply should be? I just got mine the other day and didn't want to blow it up hooking up a power supply that wasn't compatable???

Re: Selling LCD 5'inch FMC VGA Monitor

    Hi Shawn,
The data sheet for this display is as follows,

    Power supply voltage:DC9~15V(Type12V 280mA±20mA )
So any supply with a min current rating of say .3 amp would be fine. I always go for something a bit bigger than the minimum.
    Hope this helps.
    Les

    In fact Shawn,

I've even gotten it working with 5V from a USB. Should have no issues with a fairly large range of power options.

I've attached a 12V .3 amp power supply but my unit didn't fire up? is there a power button somewhere I might be missing?
