I've been in the skip again!

I cant walk past a skip without having a quick nosey to see if anything is useful lol Half my flightdeck is reclaimed junk So now i have started on a yoke mechanism, obviously i need the control and i like the look of the opencockpits yoke for 90 odd euro it looks good value, once i have worked out how to get some pots into this contraption i may order one. Heres some pics. I'm off to have another read of Ian's pdf on making yokes

That looks very cool steve. I'll be watching your progress on that one as I may be looking at the same thing in the future. Nice work!

Hi Steve, I will have a yoke column base/pot drive unit mechanism as a product on the site by the end of the week! Stay tuned...
I had to laugh, the guy who trains our kids karate is a plastic sign manufacturer and I am always bringing home pieces of acrylic from his skip and I always keep an eye on the skip at work!!!

I'll keep taking pictures as it progresses, Thanks for the comments.
@ Gwyn Yes i have been following your new innovations and wondered about the yoke mechanism you mentioned, I'll definatley take a look when you release it. I wont be going dual yokes for the forseable future as nobody ever sits on the right.
Does anybody have experience of the opencockpits yoke, i know it needs finishing but as it comes with the wiring ready for the switches i thought i might give it a shot.

    Top Stuff Steve.

You are very much like me, I am definitely a skip raider and love to see what I can pinch out the skip. Glad to see that everything is coming along, and cant wait to see the yoke mechanism work.

Great stuff, why pay £££'s when it can cost you £'s?
