    Lekseecon isn't working

    Hello everyone,

I am extremely sorry to bombard you all with yet another question thread (you must all be sick of me by now!), but unfrotunately I'm having some problems with Lekseecon.

Basically, I download Lekseecon, all seems to install okay. Then, I fire up FSX SP2, then SIOC, then finally Lekseecon X. However, all I see when I fire up Leeksecon X is a very brief flash of a black box. Then it just minimizes (the only trace I have of Lekseecon is if I press CTRL+ALT+DEL, then look under the "Processes" Tab).

Also, I have the O/C Transponder. Using Nico's P&P Files, I follow the instructions exactly. However, there is a blank display on my Transponder. I have to start up IOCModules version 1.6Beta aswell as Lekseecon, SIOC, P&P Files, etc.

I am running FSX SP2, latest SIOC and Lekseecon verions with Registered FSUIPC latest version. Windows 7 64-bit.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks alot,

    Jack

    Re: Lekseecon isn't working

    Jack,

I think your conclusion "lekseecon isn't working" is not right. As indicated in the Manual, you will not see a lekseecon window. lekseecon runs as a background process (like you found lekseecon in the process tab).
You have not seen any Error pop up windows (at least you do not report one) , so all went well....
If you want to see what is happening, you should inspect the log file (lekseeconX.log in folder lekseecon).

For the Transponder you should NOT start IOCPModules.exe. And do note that Plug and play files are for people that do not program in SIOC. IF you want to run as well the Transponder as own SIOC scripts you have to integrate these two first. This is described in the Sources for P&P modules.

I recommend that you read and study my manuals first (in particular lekseecon User Manual Chapter 2), before posting questions like this...
And if you post a question, please add your sioc.ini, your lekseecon(9/X).logfile.

    regards,
    Nico

    Re: Lekseecon isn't working

Okay then, I think Lekseecon X is working okay as yes there were no errors, SIOC detected it well, etc.

However, I am not running any scripts whatsoever for the Transponder. I literally follow word-by-word the isntructions provided in the P&P Files manual, and I get a completely blank display until I start IOCModules, wehre I get limited functionality.

I will hopefully post a logfile later, in the meantime though, any clues?

If I remember wel, you had the Transponder already working a few months ago..? Have you not? So if possible go back to that situation.
    (and do not run IOCPModules.exe).

If you follow the instructions provided by the P&P manual, there will certainly be a script running. However, it is an already compiled script. You run the .ssi file (which is a compiled .txt file)

    Re: Lekseecon isn't working

    Hi Nico,

The Transponder has always worked in the sense that it changes Transponder Codes, however since aquiring the LDS767 I have decided to use Lekseecon with the P&P files to get everything working (knobs, Transponder sel, etc). Anyway, the end result is okay if I run IOCModules too.

    Re: Lekseecon isn't working

There is really no need to run IOCModules if you use the LDS767, it is only needed for other aircraft then LDS767.
My P&P file supports all the hardware of the OC Transponder module if used for LDS767, see the manaul for the details.

The problem is though, even following the manual I get no display until I use IOCModules.

You must be doing something wrong...
    Please post your lekseeconX_log.txt file

    Hiya Nico,

I have here a picture of my Lekseecon X logfile:

I followed the instructions as per the manual, and whilst I did actually get a display this time, on the display there was just a load of random digits which seemed to bare no resemblance to the LDS767 Transponder.

    Hi Jack,
Thanks for the picture of your logfile, note that it is easier to copy and paste the text into your post.
    At least this is wrong:
    Change in your sioc.ini atc9.ssi into atcx.ssi
    And try again...
