    Fiber optics

    I read this site:
    http://www.fiberopticproducts.com/Fiber_optic_items.htm

and thought maby its possible to lit keys and panels wth it.
having one central light source and really thin fibers sounds good.
dimming and changing color will become much easier.

but I have never worked with it.
Is somebody else using this for panels or keys ?

Working with "complete" light and not "monochroom" led light with only
a few sharp frequencies will be an enhancement too,
I still think bulb-light feels more authentic.
(like a turntable for music )

    Re: Fiber optics

I looked at those really cheap xmas trees that come about 30cm tall. Hundreds of "branches" all with the tips lit up in a warm glow. I wondered if it would be possible just to strip one down and modify it somehow, if space is an issue and its difficult to get led's and wiring into tight spaces i think fibre optics would be a great idea.
